Welcome to Messages: Text SMS App (the "App"), brought to you by Lumora Tech ("Lumora," "we," "us," "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Lumora. Installing, opening, or using the App means you accept these Terms in full. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

In Short

Lumora built this App so you can text and manage conversations easily. You keep ownership of what you send. We're not responsible for carrier fees or network hiccups. And we ask that you use the App responsibly. Details below.

1. About the App

Messages: Text SMS App lets you send, receive, and organize SMS/MMS conversations, attach media, adjust notification preferences, and personalize your messaging experience.

2. Eligibility

By using the App, you confirm you are legally allowed to use mobile messaging services in your location, and — if you are a minor under local law — that a parent or guardian has approved your use of the App.

3. Permissions

Messaging (SMS/MMS): required to send, receive, and show your texts. Contacts: used to display saved names instead of raw numbers. Camera & Media: used to attach and view shared photos, videos, or files. Storage: used to save attachments and optional backups. Notifications: used to alert you of new messages.

Each of these can be turned off in your device settings, though doing so may affect certain features.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to send spam or unsolicited bulk messages; harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone; share unlawful, obscene, or infringing content; interfere with or attempt to hack the App; or otherwise break telecommunications or privacy laws that apply to you. We may suspend or restrict access for violations of this section.

5. Ownership of Your Content

Messages, photos, and files you send or receive remain your property. Lumora does not claim ownership of your personal communications and does not routinely monitor their content. Optional cloud backup or sync features, where offered, are governed separately by our Privacy Policy and only activate with your consent.

6. Carrier Charges & Network Reliability

The App relies on your device's SIM card and cellular/data connection. Lumora is not responsible for SMS, MMS, or data charges billed by your carrier, nor for message delays or failures caused by network conditions beyond our control.

7. Intellectual Property

The App's design, source code, trademarks, and branding are owned by Lumora Tech or its licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the App — not to copy, reverse-engineer, resell, redistribute, or use our branding without written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with outside services such as backup providers, sticker packs, or analytics tools, each governed by their own terms and privacy practices, which Lumora does not control.

9. Privacy

Our data collection and use practices are set out in our Privacy Policy, incorporated here by reference. Using the App means you consent to those practices.

10. Updates & Availability

Lumora may release updates, modify features, or pause the App for maintenance at its discretion. We don't guarantee the App will always be available without interruption.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App without prior notice if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in good faith, to be harmful to other users or to Lumora.

12. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the App will be secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, Lumora is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost messages, data, or profits — arising from your use of the App. This does not limit liability that cannot be lawfully excluded, such as for death, personal injury, or fraud.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced within the App or its store listing. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Lumora Tech's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
